I live in Burlington Ontario and go to Guido de Bres Christian high school and I always get good ideas from your page so i decided to build one of my own hovercrafts. i used a gas leaf blower motor for upwards lift and i have a small ultra light engine with a 24 inch prop at the end(its at my friends house). i used a piece of 4 by 8 sheet of plywood as the base and some thin 7 mill plastic as the skirt. It is a basic dounut shape with a piece of hard plastic in the middle to get the air pressure right and to make it inflate evenly. The hovering works awesome and it lifts three people but whenever i try to go down the road the plastic snaps or rips or breaks or just tears because of something sharp on the road. i want to try a ring of wood on the outside of the plywood to help keep the plastic from not letting the air escape but its all costs a lot of money . Well anyways i wanted to email u guys because u guys make some awesome skirts. i would buy my own but the only place i work is at a retirement home and it doesn't give much. So i was wondering if you guys know anyone with any scraps or other material, i would really appreciate it if i could get some at a reasonable price. I could really use some good material for once that will stand up to the road a little better.
